Tanell
Tanell grew up on a game reserve in South Africa. Growing up, she and her dad would go to the gym together, and although she was tall and skinny, Tanell had big dreams of becoming a body builder. Tall and skinny paid off big in a different way when she began a professional modeling career at 16. She traveled the world working for top brands with modeling agencies in Italy, Germany, South Africa, United States, and London. She experimented with many different workout and health routines throughout her career and has a unique insight into the body image clients strive for. Today, Tanell is a mobility expert with advanced training in Yoga-Tune Up®, Crossfit, and Ashtanga yoga. Her focus on anatomy and truly fixing mobility problems through Yoga-Tune Up® is an incredible asset to all athletes ranging from the Cleveland Cavaliers to members of the Fairfield retired community. She spends her weekends traveling the country teaching other coaches ways to improve the health and performance of their clients. She is a nationally published health and fitness writer.

Ti founded Boom fitness in 2011 with a desire to help people become healthy, capable, and happy through fitness. That vision has grown into a thriving fitness community in Fairfield. Ti’s passion for Olympic Weightlifting has brought a technique driven weightlifting program to Boom members. In his pursuit to become a better coach, he’s traveled and trained with the best including Olympic gold medalists at the Chinese National training center. His dedication to learning and emphasis on technique helps Boom members safely reach their athletic potential.

Huma
Huma has completed her bachelors of arts in exercise science and is currently in medical school. In her spare time, she is a college athlete, coaches, and squats more weight then most people twice her size.

Michael
Michael became a Boom coach after falling in love with the constantly varied, high intensity functional movement approach to fitness. He’s always enjoyed physical activity, including baseball, football, basketball, weight-lifting, karate, swimming, volleyball, rock climbing, gymnastics, floor hockey, dance, and triathlons, and has found that regular strength and conditioning training at Boom has taken his fitness to a whole new level. His favorite part of coaching is watching athletes overcome mental barriers to do things they never believed they could do, then taking those feelings of achievement, confidence, and capability into everything they do in life.

Nikki
Coach Nikki is passionate about helping people move well for fitness and for life. She believes your integrity and hard work in the gym will carry over to other areas as well. Nikki has been practicing functional fitness for 2.5 years, following in the footsteps of her husband, Coach D. She is a homeschooling mom of 4, and believes fitness is key to keeping up with them and being mentally healthy.

Dustin “Coach D”
Coach D started his fitness journey 2013. For several years, he learned functional fitness by watching videos online and trying to self-teach in the gym. After getting into a gym that had coaches, he realized the impact a person with eyes on you and passion for your fitness can have. From this came the desire to coach others and to have that same positive impact. His passion is to see people exceed their own expectations and fully experience the physical and emotional benefits of fitness. Coach D also loves to dance in the gym.
